22' Huon Pine Motorsailer

22' Huon Pine Motorsailer

The current owner of this remarkable vessel has moved from this area and is now offering "MS Debonaire" for sale. She was built from Huon Pine in 1945 as a working cray boat around the Tasman Penninsula and was commissioned to do the mail run to Tasman Island. In 2004 she was fully rebuilt from stem to stern by the respected Master Shipwright Geoff Cuthbertson of Tasmania which included the hull being prepared and sheathed with double bias fibreglass/epoxy. The internal fitout was completed in Huon Pine, Kauri and Teak to a very high standard. She has been kept in this condition and is a delight to see.

Easily handled with her Volvo 18hp motor - shaft drive with a dripless sterngland. Sail handling is made simple with a furling jib and lazy jacks for the main. Underway she can be steered from the cockpit tiller or in adverse weather by the helm in the cabin. Comfortable Vee berth f'wd and roomy saloon table with galley opposite.

"Debonaire" is an amazing boat and one can spend considerable time just admiring the finish of the hull and the detail that went into the interior workmanship.

You will be very impressed after your inspection. Please phone for more information and an appointment.
